Diaper Rash

What pharmacists reach for
Organized by what you're trying to do right now. Every product carries an honest evidence rating.
Refine
Calm early redness
Skin looks pink or slightly irritated after a change. A zinc paste twice a day for a day or two usually settles it — apply like frosting, don't rub in. If skin is broken, weeping, or not improving in 2–3 days, see a pharmacist or GP.
Prevent at every change
Skin looks fine and you want to keep it that way. A thin layer of a light barrier at each change is enough — heavier creams here just waste product.
Quick guide
When to talk to a pro
- Symptoms haven't improved after 7 days of consistent use.
- Your baby is under 3 months old — always loop in your pediatrician.
- You spot bleeding, fever, or sudden swelling.
- You're on prescription meds and want to check for interactions.
